Socialism explained at its best...

Hi Folks,

This is an Awesome read. effects of socialism explained in the simplest way possible. Not my personal views though.

Just for your understanding though…

As the late Adrian Rogers said, "you cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."  This man is truly a genius!

cid:1.2875278666@web111613.mail.gq1.yahoo.com

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had once failed an entire class.
That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.
The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".
All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.
After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.
The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D!
No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.
The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.
All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

Could not be any simpler than that.

Against all odds - Just be normal...

Against all odds

Chilling ruthless winter of Pilani. 2 degree centigrade.

I want something. I want something very badly.

I'm with my friends. Good friends - A,B at Connaught place inside the campus.

I: Friends, I want to go ahead. Please don't stop me.

A: No you can't. Are you insane?

B: C'mon man, just stop it. Don't be mad. (And then the same question - ) Are you insane?

I: No, I'm not, but I just can't stop myself.

A: What's wrong with you? Why can't you behave like you know.... normal?

B: Yea... this guy is gone nuts. Dude, don't be stupid for heaven’s sake.

I: I'm not being stupid. It's as simple as I want something very badly and I want to get it. If not, I don't know what will happen to me. I can't resist myself.

A: But dude, look around. There are people. What will they think of you? This is just not done.

I: I can't resist the temptation. I'm too tempted.

B: Oh boy, I never thought you had such intentions tonight. If I had known this before, I would have never come with you. What a shame for me !! I want to save my face. I just want to get back to my room.

A: Chi chi... you have no control over yourself at all. God save you. I'm out of here as well. Let's go, leave this cracko here. Let him do what he wants to do.

I: But guys, why don't you too join. We can have fun together.

A: Just shut up, will you? At least do it with presence of mind. You know what i mean.

B: Do you have enough money?

I: Don't you worry. I will see you later.

A and B: We don’t want to see you any more. Bye.

I walked towards the end of the road, a 100 m walk. It sent shivers down my spine. At the same time, there was this feeling of excitement of being the first one to actually DO it.

I asked "HOW MUCH" ? (without any fear)

10 Rs, came the answer. Which flavor do you want sir? Vanilla, Strawberry, Chocolate....

Chocolate I said and gave him 10 Rs.

Yes, I had Chocolate ice-cream in the month of December in Pilani.

Mission Accomplished !!

The secret of the hitch-hiker !!

The secret of the hitch-hiker !!

A man and his brother were driving from Chattanooga to
Atlanta for the weekend to see their mother. On the
way down, they saw a man on the side of the road
trying to catch a ride. The hitchhiker looked okay,
he had on a nice black suit and a brown briefcase in
his hand. So, the two men picked him up. On the way,
the man kept fumbling around in his briefcase for
something. The two brothers were beginning to become
afraid there was something horrible in the briefcase,
so the older brother said, " What's in the briefcase."
"None of your business," the man replied.
They continued on down the road. By now, the two brothers
were really scared The younger brother was on the
verge of a nervous breakdown. "What's in the briefcase?"
the younger one asked again nervously.
"None of your business," he replied a little louder.
After a while the older brother pulled over into a gas
station parking lot and the two brothers got out.
" What do you think we should do?" one of them asked.
"Tell him to go to the bathroom because it's going to
be a long ride," the other replied. So, they went back
and told the man to go the bathroom. And he went. When
he returned he found that the two brothers had driven
away and left him behind. The brothers grabbed the
briefcase and snapped it open, and you know what
was in it?

Write for 10 Minutes about anything.....

write for 10 mintues

Recently, I ran into a cool website called Write for Ten. It’s a project with one rule: write for 10 minutes about anything. Apparently, this helps us to develop a habit for writing, helps put ideas into words and helps you avoid procrastinating! Check it out!

And the below links can help us cultivate this habit in a better fashion:

How To Excel In Your Present Job - Career Resolutions...?

Dear all,

Most of the things in life that we listen to are not new to us. Somewhere somehow we would have heard or read them but, the fate is that someone has to keep reminding on the positive thought every other time.   This article is also of the same kind.  There is nothing new here but just a refresher.

May be take a print out of it and put it on the desk to read it daily by putting a minute off our 9 Hrs workJ

All the best.

How To Excel In Your Present Job - Career Resolutions...?

Almost all working professionals aim at proving themselves and excelling in their professional careers. If you are always keeping your fingers crossed for a quick promotion, a steep hike in pay or a fast growth in your career graph, its time to do more than just keeping your fingers crossed! Its time for some sincere and focused action.

Here are tips you can follow to reach your goals and excel in your career path -

1. Organise Your Work Space & Yourself - Keep your files, papers and documents in order to avoid unnecessary clutter and delays. Maintain a To-Do list for the day / week and make sure to enter tasks in their order of priority.

2. Be a Good Team Player - Be willing to listen to others when working in a team. At the same time, learn to get your thoughts and ideas across to others in your team. Be open to helping others - you never know when you might need their help too.

3. Out Your 100% In Whatever You Do - If you put your honest efforts in every task that you take up, you will be able to maintain your success rate and move / step closer to your goals.

4. Have Confidence In Your Abilities - Understand your strengths and seize every opportunity to demonstrate what you can do.

5. Learn From Others - Instead of falling prey to jealousies, try to learn from the successes and achievements of others. Analyze what is different about their approach towards work and gain inspiration from them.

6. Give Yourself Time To Relax - While working hard is important, relaxing after a hard day's work is also very important. Organise your time in such a way so that you have the opportunity to relieve stress and tensions. Enroll yourself for meditation / yoga classes, go for a walk, pick up a hobby - the choice is yours to make.

7. Take care of yourself and avoid carrying your work / office related tensions home. Seek satisfaction in whatever you do.

If you feel you are not happy with some aspect of your job, try to find out the reasons for it and then move towards bringing about positive changes.

It's the only one they're calling "ultra thin"...

http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2010/01/500x_led9000__55__r90_02.jpg

Samsung's LED LCD televisions are here and the flagship C9000 is a doozy. It's the only one they're calling "ultra thin", has 3D support in late 2010 and a touch remote that shows you content from other video sources!
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2010/01/500x_led9000_remote_01.jpg

The thinness (it's as skinny as a pencil) is achieved by shoving lots of guts into the pedestal, which doubles as a wall mount. The set can convert 2D content into 3D, although I'm sure of dubious quality. The remote looks rather Apple-ish in UI, but it can show you, as I said before, content from other sources, like live TV while watching a Blu-ray on the big screen. It has 240Hz tech, which we've never noticed as important in image quality, but it's there (needed for 3D). No word on sizes or prices, yet. There's Samsung app support, but platforms like these are never really well supported. The frame is very shiny.

The rest:
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2010/01/500x_led8000__na_55__front.jpg
8000 Series: Not as thin as the C9000, it uses edge lit technology and has what Samsung claims is the advantage of backlighting with localized dimming. 240Hz. No prices or sizes. 3D, and treatment to upconvert 2D to 3D. Samsung apps.
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2010/01/500x_led7000__na_46__l45.jpg
7000 Series: No edgelit with localized dimming advantages as in the 8000. 240Hz. No prices or sizes. 3D, and treatment to upconvert 2D to 3D. Samsung apps. "Touch of Color" translucent frame from last year, with a new 4 legged stand.
http://cache.gawker.com/assets/images/4/2010/01/500x_led6500__na_46__front.jpg
6500 Series: 120Hz, "touch of color" finish. DLNA streaming capabilities. Apps. No 3D. No prices or sizes. Coming the first half of 2010, unlike the above which are coming in "2010".
5000 Series: Focus on low power usage, including a low power monitor. DLNA, and USB port media playback.

And that’s technology for us…

Cheers to the Team Samsung for such great innovationsJ
