20 Key Ideas for a Happy Marriage.

20 Key Ideas for a Happy Marriage...

1.  Keep your mind on your main goal, which is to have a happy marriage. Say and do what will enable you and your spouse to have a happy marriage. Avoid the opposite. Everything else is commentary.

2.  Keep asking yourselves, What can we do to have a happy, loving atmosphere in our home?

3.  Focus on giving, rather than taking. Say and do as many things as possible to meet your spouses needs.

4.  Keep doing and saying things that will give your spouse a sense of importance.

5.  Frequently ask yourself, What positive things can I say and do to put my (husband or wife) in a positive emotional state?

6.  Before speaking, clarify the outcome you want. The meaning of your communication is the response you actually get. If the first thing you say is not achieving your goal, change your approach. Remember that mutual respect and happiness is your real goal. Do not needlessly argue. Silence is often the wisest choice. Constantly be mutually respectful.
.

7.  Show appreciation and gratitude in as many ways as possible. Say something appreciative a few times a day.

8.  Be a good listener. Understand your spouse from his or her point of view.

9.  Be considerate of the feelings and needs of your spouse. Think of ways that you have lacked consideration and be resolved to increase your level of consideration.

10.  Instead of blaming and complaining think of positive ways to motivate your spouse. If your first strategies are not effective, think of creative ways.
.
11.  Give up unrealistic expectations. Do not expect your spouse to be perfect and do not make comparisons.

12.  Do not cause pain with words. If your spouse speaks to you in ways that cause you pain, choose outcome wording, Lets speak to each other in ways that are mutually respectful.

13.  Be willing to compromise. Be willing to do something you would rather not do in return for similar behavior from your spouse.

14.  Write a list of ways that you have benefited from being married to your spouse. Keep adding to the list and reread it frequently
.

15.  Write a list of your spouses positive patterns and qualities. Keep adding to the list and read it frequently
.

16.  Keep thinking about what you can do to bring out the best qualities of your spouse. Reinforce those qualities with words and action
.

17.  Focus on finding solutions to any problems that arise. Be solution oriented. Do not just blame and complain. Do not focus on who is more wrong. For a happy marriage, work together to find mutually acceptable solutions
.

18.  Remember your finest moments. What did you say and do when you felt best about each other? Increase them
.

19.  Look for positive activities you can do together
.

20.  Live in the present. What went wrong in the past is the past. You create the present and future with your thoughts, words, and actions right now. Choose them wisely.

The Tale Of A Date.!!!

She is my first and the only love till this point. Her name is Nivedita, a software engineer by profession. She is turning twenty-four shortly and she is undoubtedly the most beautiful girl on earth. I made it a point to share my feelings today with her, hoping this letter would do it all. I have not written any letters in my life till now, and this is perhaps the first time I pen down my thoughts and expectations for the person I love the most on earth.

It's been four years since we met each other and a strong bond has grown between us through these years. I was unaware of her love for a long time. In fact, I hadn't spoken a word with her till about a year I had seen her for the first time. It was in one long journey in train, I understood her love for me. It happened a year ago.

It was a trip from Kanyakumari to Chennai in Kanyakumari Express. We had passed Vizhupuram and it was 3 am in the morning. I thought I was the only one who was awake in the whole compartment in that early hour. But to my surprise, she was also awake.

I didn't know then that it was for me she had got up that early. Hardly had she seemed to move her sight away from me. She smiled at me very often and every time I encountered that cute smile, I started eagerly awaiting the next battle with her smile and shining eyes. Her smile had everything in it, the story of unbelievable affection, care and what not.

From that moment, till now, I too have loved her to a great extent. We have never exchanged words about the love we have towards each other, but words are too less to reflect the amount of affection and love we share. I have always thought that the love would remain throughout our life and it happened to be the same till three months back.

Vivek had come into my life three months back. In fact I myself had waited his arrival for quite a long time, but from the moment he arrived, he has been the worst enemy in my life. Nivedita and he had grown close over times, and the fraction of time she spent with me got lowered to a great extent. Even the latest Sensex fall would be less compared to the fall in her affection for me.

I have wondered how it could suddenly happen, after near to four long years of understanding and love amidst us. At times, I have felt like killing that guy Vivek, but I have not had that much strength or braveness to do that. Still, what can he do? He did no mistake to his part, except for being born charming, cute and fair.
Two days before when I saw her, she was feeding food for him and I was hurt to the core on seeing the incident. My anger had boiled down to tears, and I broke. It took almost close to three hours for me stop crying, I felt I had cried more than how much I would have cried when I was born.

I have been trying to understand where it all went wrong, but to my fortune, till now, I haven't been able spot it out. Once for all, I decided to tell all my feelings to her, no matter how she is going to deal with it. I have heard my dad saying a lot of times 'Something is better than nothing!' and I made up my mind to do 'something'.

I fixed today to be the 'DATE' for throwing open in front of her the 'TALE' of my pure love for her. I don't know whether I will get a positive response from her, but I pray God that only the best happens.

Trrrrriinnnnnnggggg...

My school bell has rung. The lunch break is over. My 'UKG' classmates would be ready to welcome me with the same cute smile as ever.
I hope my 'MOTHER' Nivedita will be alright, understands me and shares some time with me also, apart from that she spends with my three months old rascal 'BROTHER' Vivek.

See you after a break!!!

With Love,
Deepak UKG-B

Mgmt/ Four Hats for Success...!!!

Four Hats for Success…!!!!

In any business there must be four hats worn each day. Your company
could consist of just you, the owner and operator, or it could
consist of over 2,000 employees. By managing these four hats, you
will increase revenue through efficiency and decrease costs by
eliminating waste and disorganization.

1. The Captain (General Manager/Owner). The Captain oversees,
delegates and organizes. Captains are individuals usually known as
the General Manager. They see the broader picture and make sure the
smaller jobs are done: bills are paid, files are organized, the
accounts receivable are up to date, etc. They do not actually do the
small task jobs, they make sure the jobs are fulfilled and the
company runs smoothly. It is also necessary that they step back to
notice and acknowledge the company's short and long term goals.

2. Deck Support (Office Assistant). Deck Support makes sure the
small details are done. This hat is usually worn by employees such
as the office assistant, the runner and/or the logistics person.
They complete small-detail tasks such as filing, data entry, paying
bills and making sure the office is clean and organized. This person
will report to the Captain.

3. The Technician (Worker). The Technician makes and installs the
windows, installs the computers or cleans the carpets. The
Technician gets the product to the consumer so that money can be
collected.

4. The Dreamer (Entrepreneur). The Dreamer can't sleep nights
because they are imagining how great things will be. Dreamers are
the visionaries of the company and dream about logos, expansion,
fulfillment, money, power, fun and energy.
All of these jobs are very important. When a company loses its
Captain, it runs into an iceberg and drowns. With no Deck Support,
things get lost and the company crashes. Without a Technician, no
product is delivered; thus no revenue. If a company loses its
Dreamer the company's vision is lost and the company experiences a
slow death.

If hats are worn by employees other than the General Manager, the
Captain needs to hold the employee accountable to staying on task
and completing the job. The General Manager also needs to hold the
Captain accountable to receive appropriate information and complete
necessary tasks.

A ship cannot run without a crew. Although the hats and tasks are
separate and different, it is imperative to hold a weekly staff
meeting to stay on the same page. Nothing hurts a company faster
than the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing; having
hats sprawled all over the place and getting lost. Staff meetings
can be rewarding when they are consistent and will result in your
company's progress.

The human mind can get confused easily. The unconscious can only
attend to about five tasks at once so juggling four hats is a skill
that needs to be developed. Do this by separating the four hats in
your mind. Realize and recognize which hat you are wearing and focus
on the job that you are doing. Be clear in your mind what task you
are completing and consciously switch your hat when needed.
The Captain needs to assess when each hat needs to be worn and when.
Sometimes the Captain's hat will take all day and the Dreamer's hat
is saved for the weekend. It may be that the Technician hat is not
worn for a few weeks until a job needs to be completed.

This expertise is valuable and becomes more thorough when the
Captain steps back and looks at the whole company from a broader
perspective.

Each hat is fulfilling and rewarding in its own way. Take
satisfaction in tasks well done, keep your hats in order and enjoy
smooth sailing!

Why mothers are special....???

Why mothers are special….???

Mum and Dad were watching TV when Mum said, 'I'm tired, and it's getting late. I think I'll go to bed.'
She went to the kitchen to make sandwiches for the next day's
lunches. Rinsed out the popcorn bowls, took meat out of the
freezer for supper the following evening, checked the cereal box
levels, filled the sugar container, put spoons and bowls on the
table and started the coffee pot for brewing the next morning.
She then put some wet clothes in the dryer, put a load of clothes
into the washer, ironed a shirt and secured a loose button. She
picked up the game pieces left on the table, put the phone back
On the charger and put the telephone book into the drawer. She
watered the plants, emptied a wastebasket and hung up a towel to
dry. She yawned and stretched and headed for the bedroom.
She stopped by the desk and wrote a note to the teacher,
counted out some cash for the excursion and pulled a text book
out from hiding under the chair. She signed a birthday card for a
friend, addressed and stamped the envelope and wrote a quick
note for the  grocery store. She put both near her bag.

Mum then washed her face with 3 in 1 cleanser, put on her Night
Solution & age fighting moisturizer, brushed and flossed her
teeth and filed her nails.

Dad called out, 'I thought you were going to bed.'

'I'm on my way,' she said. She put some water into the dog's dish
and put the cat outside, then made sure the doors were locked
and the patio light was on. She looked in on each of the kids and
turned out their bedside lamps and radios, hung up a shirt, threw
some dirty socks into the hamper, and had a brief conversation
with the one up still doing homework.

In her own room, she set the alarm; laid out clothing for the next
day, straightened up the shoe rack. She added three things to
her 6 most important things to do list. She said her prayers, and
visualized the accomplishment of her goals. About that time, Dad
turned off the TV and announced to no one in particular. 'I'm
going to bed.' And he did...without another thought.

Anything extraordinary here? Wonder why women live longer...?

'CAUSE THEY ARE MADE FOR THE LONG HAUL....

and they can't die sooner, they still have things to do!!!!

I guess now you know why women are so special :).....!!!

Subject: Masters of the Modern Art...!!!

It’s almost impossible to talk about modern art without tipping your hat to these greats. Here are the masters who gave birth to the modern.

Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973)

Picasso is the undisputed master of the modern movement. You have to go back to Michelangelo to find anyone of equal genius or stature. Convivial and energetic, he had a voracious appetite for the female sex, although his relationships with women were not always happy.

Creator of a vast output of work, he was equally inventive as a painter, sculptor, printmaker, ceramicists, and theater designer. His work displays a bewildering change of technical and stylistic originality with a wide-ranging Freudian response to the human condition, including many intimate references to sex and death, sometimes blissful, sometimes anguished.

Always highly autobiographical, Picasso had the rare ability to turn self-comment into universal truths about mankind.

Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954)

Matisse was the king of color and celebrated the joy of living through the exploration of his palette. One of the founders of the modern movement, Matisse achieved a joyous combination of subject matter (notably the open window, the still life, and the female nude) and a glorious exploitation of color, and proclaimed a new freedom to do his own thing without necessarily imitating nature. Matisse explored color independently from subject matter and turned color into something you wanted to touch and feel.

While he was at his best with paint and paper cutouts, he was also a brilliant and innovative printmaker and a gifted sculptor. As a personality however, he was professorial, social, but a bit of a loner.

Wassily Kandinsky (1866 – 1944)

Kandinsky was one of the key pioneers of the modern movement and reputedly the creator of the first abstract picture. Russian born, he initially trained as a lawyer, which made him at ease with abstract modes of thought.

Possessor of a complex, multifaceted personality, Kandinsky cultivated an intellectual rather than an instinctive approach to art, backed up by much theoretical writing. Starting as a figurative artist, he worked his way via freely painted abstracts to a complex geometrical form of abstraction.

The common thread in all his work is color. He intellectualized his ideas and his art, but at the same time he had such a strong physical sensitivity to color that he could literally hear colors as well as see them (a phenomenon known as synesthesia)
